/ OUR ROOTS
Phi Delta Epsilon International Medical Fraternity creates physicians of integrity with a lifelong commitment to our guiding principles of philanthropy, deity, and education through fellowship, service, mentoring, and formal training in leadership, science, and ethics. In October of 1904, Aaron Brown and eight of his friends founded Phi Delta Epsilon at Cornell University Medical College. It was not until 1994 when premedical fraternities were establised. Now, PhiDE spans a lifetime of medical education and practice.

Our members are dedicated to becoming physicians in a wide range of specialities. As a member of the fraternity, you connect to those who are passionate just as you are about the medical field and want to make a difference. We are a small close-knit group thus you are able to make meaningful friendships and interact with every member of the fraternity. Within PhiDE, we provide the opportunity for service, fundraising, friendships, and access to resources including speakers such as doctors.
Since the DE Alpha Chapter here at University of Delaware was started in 2008, we have made tremendous progress. We recevied the Chapter of Excellence Award for 2013. The Fraternity hopes to grow its influence not only at the University but at a national level. Our devoted members and our drive will lead us to success.
